Because of the complications that the wide variety of devices and headphones bring, we have developed a new paradigm that works optimally for Android devices. A paradigm that does not require calibration. With it we test how you hear in actual daily life, because let's face it, how often are you trying to hear a pure tone at the quietest level possible?This test (the psychophysical tuning curve test) focuses on how you hear in noisy situations; like how you hear in a noisy restaurant, or how well you're able to pick out an instrument in a complex musical piece. This ability is called your tuning, and described by a psychophysical tuning curve (PTC).The PTC paradigm is the first of its kind to reach the PlayStore.
