When in doubt, tap Call 911 to summon help immediately.Be prepared: The Prepare tab has checklists, instructions, and related resources for everything from food poisoning to volcanoes.Merit badge: First Aid's Learn and Tests tabs constitute a pretty good course in basic preparedness and first response to everyday emergencies or life-and-death situations.ConsDocument-like: Like similar apps from the American Red Cross, First Aid is a model of clarity and usefulness, but it comes across a bit like a printed pamphlet. More animation and video might make the app more attractive to a wider range of users.Bottom LineFirst Aid -- American Red Cross is the app you hope you never need but will be extremely glad to have if and when you do. It's recommended for any user.
