MyBackup opens in a well-designed interface with buttons and context menu options. Creating a set of source and target locations is simple, as is defining filters to specify the types of files to back up (DOC, TXT, MP3). However, unlike other backup utilities, MyBackup offers no scheduling and security features and is unable to back up to a compact disc, which limits the backup process to storage media that does not require burning. Although novice users may find this freeware simple to use, advance users may want to look for another application with more flexibility and functionality.
