In W2XML, you can drop individual files or entire folders into the interface, then press Go. The conversion takes seconds, placing files into a My XML Files folder by default. All the conversion information you need appears at the bottom of the program window, including a link to the output folder and easy access to options. You can set all sorts of options, such as unchecking the box that discards the intermediate HTML page the program creates on its way to XML. We'd like more of an explanation as to what happens when you save the workplace. Clicking on Help launches a browser window. Running a conversion launches a pop-up ad for the publisher's other products. The program should either skip unusable files (such as plain text) or allow the user to remove them all at once. Also, and perhaps this is a trial limitation, the program only converted two of the files in a folder we dropped into the interface. Business users who need to convert many files into XML may appreciate W2XML's speed and ease of use.
