Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffSeptember 15, 2004It may help reduce your stress level, but this program falls short in some areas. Stress Management has a Wizard that leads you through several windows. The first few are crammed with text about the program, in a window you can't resize. You'll have to bring your own background image in BMP format, the program offers only the choices of a vivid blue screen or a vivid blue screen with a poor quality photo in the middle. Choosing one of seven words such as "Hope" or "Heal" is the final step. The relaxation program runs full-screen with your word and numbers flashing randomly, and resembles an amateur PowerPoint presentation. The narrator's voice is pleasing, but the music sounds somewhat tinny. His messages are mostly simple imperatives to "Enjoy Life" or "Feel Good" repeated in soothing tones. Only one of two relaxation options is available with the 14-day trial version. Though easy to use, most will prefer a more polished relaxation program.
