Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffOctober 25, 2002This high-tech take on astrology provides entertaining information but suffers from questionable stability. To use Quick StarReader, plug in the date, time, and longitudinal location of your birth. The program will quickly generate information such as your primary element, ascendant sign, cautionary months, stones, and colors. Though this can be nifty, the program takes too long to install, and in some tests we encountered several errors before it finally started. In other cases, the application's Start menu shortcut failed to work. The purple interface is easy enough to understand at first glance, though the frequent nag messages may annoy some users. All told, only hard-core astrology enthusiasts are likely to endure the problems we encountered in exchange for the entertaining information.
