Developer's DescriptionBy Anthony CraftsDemonstrate a probability puzzle commonly known as the Monty Hall Paradox.This application is a model of a Monty Hall style game show where the player is allowed to pick one of three doors. After the player picks a door one of the remaining doors is revealed. The player is then given the option to switch his choice. If he never switches he will win approximately 33% of the time. If he switches every time he will win approximately 66% of the time. You can play or have the computer play for you! This model can be used to demonstrate a probability puzzle commonly known as the Monty Hall Paradox or the Game Show Problem. It is a veridical paradox in that the result appears absurd but is demonstrably true.
