Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffFebruary 5, 2014This feature-rich application helps you manage diet and exercise regimens, but suffers from some stability issues. Crosstrainer presents a jam-packed interface with a large calendar dominating most of the screen. The file menu and colorful icons across the top provide options to add workouts, nutrition logs, and personal information. Below the calendar are tabs with simple summaries of caloric intake and weight and training results. Tabs on the right include a detailed daily schedule and a log for daily entries. Separate windows are launched to create weightlifting routines, cardio workouts, and food logs. While these windows are busy too, they're fairly easy to use and come preset with routines, exercises, and a food database. Crosstrainer also offers other options such as a shopping list creator and a calculator. Unfortunately, in multiple tests, an option to set up a training plan consistently failed to work, and there were problems with adding food to the database. Crosstrainer has the potential to be a great personal trainer program for anyone, but its instability is cause for concern.
