There's nothing fancy about it, but for a basic language-learning tool, it's a great choice.The program's interface is clean and uncluttered, with a handful of drop-down menus and buttons representing its major functions. The program offers four levels of language learning; some of them involve viewing words in one language, thinking of the correct answer, and telling the program whether you got it right, while others involve typing in the correct answer. The program repeats words, keeping track of your answers so that you can focus on words that you're having trouble with. After repeated use, users can even view a list of their 25 least known words. The program comes with a few short Spanish-English vocab lists as samples, but it's up to users to create vocabulary lists for the language they want to use. We like the flexibility of this approach; users who are studying a foreign language in a class will be able to customize LanguaFlash to help them learn assigned vocabulary words. The program doesn't offer any audio or other help with pronunciation, but for a simple way to memorize vocabulary, it works well. The built-in Help file is well-written and thorough, but the program is intuitive enough that we didn't really need it.LanguaFlash has a 30-day trial period. It installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users.
