Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffNovember 19, 2007Easy to use and free, FlipViewer's major downside is it lacks support for sharing. Photo albums you create mimic those you'd find in the real world, including pages that turn and bookmarks that sit between pages. Creating albums is as simple as selecting a folder of images and tweaking the resulting preview pages. An index and table of contents ensures you won't get lost even in the largest album. FlipViewer also functions as a Web browser and will also let you read other types of documents. Due to the program's design and animated page turns, it does tend to take up a lot of memory when running in the background. But as long as you're running a newer PC, this freebie's versatility makes it worth at least a look.
