Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffJanuary 10, 2006This educational software claims to include everything that's missing from other programs, but it fails to deliver on its promise. Know It All starts with a colorful interface that includes several features such as memory and puzzle games. However, the trial limits the amount of displayed images to three per category. The guessing game prompts users to fill in missing letters to decipher the correct word, but the included training button failed to work. Kids also can use the piano feature to turn the keyboard into a musical instrument. For Know It All to work correctly it must install several Microsoft Agents including the Microsoft Speech Engine. This makes the download size larger than other similar programs. Once installed the Speech Engine voice output stumbles on words and is hard to understand. Another annoyance is the program frequently prompts users to register, but the biggest flaw is the program automatically changes the computer's screen-resolution settings. Parents looking for a good educational program will want to pass on this 15-day trial.
