The database of Spanish Wordsgalore contains some 9,000 flash cards with words in both languages and real human pronunciation. The program tests how well you know words' meaning and spelling. Once you've run through the program a few times, you can eliminate words from the list if you know them well. You also can record your own words and download the program's sound files to an MP3 player for added practice. We like the depth of material (and the fact the program is free). Despite its lackluster interface, Wordsgalore is a decent choice for beginning language learners who want to strengthen their vocabulary skills.
