Most folks won't have a tough time figuring out how to play this simple game; you use your mouse to shoot your spaceship's weapons and move yourself out of enemy fire. However, since it takes multiple shots to destroy a single foe, the game offers more of a challenge than many similar programs. The graphics, sound effects, and music all are fairly decent, but you can adjust the audio if you find the default settings too loud. Unfortunately, AstroRaid doesn't allow you to play with the keyboard or jump ahead levels. Nevertheless, if you've sampled many of the space-shooting titles already on the market, you might as well give this one a chance.
