Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffOctober 11, 2013Though this poker game hits a lot of the right notes, its demo restriction steals much of its initial thunder. The program lets you play the poker variation known as Texas Hold 'Em, where each player is given two cards and builds their hand from a group of community cards. The game's Flash graphics, which give you an overhead view of the card table, get the point across just fine, although the actual players at the table are only represented by name. You play cards against nine other computerized opponents and can configure the bankroll amount, maximum bet, background color, and card style. Although Texas Hold 'Em lacks an in-depth tutorial to teach beginners the ropes, midlevel and even experienced players will appreciate the tools for calculating odds and getting betting advice on tough hands. Since the computer doesn't dawdle in dealing hands and wagering even after you've folded, we initially had a great time with this game. However after we relaunched it a couple of times, we began to get the exact same hands in identical order each time, a by-product of the 20-shuffle trial restriction. As such, we believe this poker game possesses mostly short appeal unless you decide to pay for it.
