Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffJune 15, 2015In spite of a very simple concept, repetitive gameplay, and few configuration options, this game still offers a low-grade challenge. In Slimy Blobs, you control a cannon in the center of the screen, which you must use to destroy the floating blobs before they can inflict damage. Shooting a blob makes it break down into smaller pieces, and since the enemy slime comes at you from all angles at once, you ll have to be quick to keep it at bay. Still, after you ve mastered that basic concept, you may find the game becomes a little monotonous since it doesn t have multiple levels to explore. The graphics are nothing special, and though we liked the well-recorded jazz soundtrack, it didn t seem too appropriate for this type of game. Although you can adjust the audio volume and tweak the graphic sensitivity, you can t play in windowed mode or reset the controls to your liking. Slimy Blobs will probably be most entertaining to children, but those folks looking for a quick game fix at work might also find some benefit.
