Driver delivers the adrenaline-charged action of a Hollywood-style car chase, propelling players along a high-speed thrill ride through the streets of four U.S. cities. Assuming the identity of an undercover cop named Tanner, players sell their services as a driver for hire to the highest bidder in order to infiltrate a powerful crime ring. Unfolding, the story line reveals corruption and double-crossing. The cities are modeled block by block down to the back alleys of their true-life counterparts--New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Miami. Players also have to deal with working traffic light systems, pedestrians on the street, and cops on patrol.
