Alpha Ball

Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffJune 15, 2015Fun and challenging, Alpha Ball puts a 3D twist on the Arkanoid tradition. As always, you must lob a ball to break through walls. Here, however, you get a third dimension: the bricks comprise several levels, and a wall may change its shape as you destroy obstacles on the lower level. You can rotate the 3D ground to better view bricks and prepare for these surprises. Your racket looks more like a crossbow and is more effective when launching oblique balls. Unfortunately, you can't configure control keys. Also, the game may run slowly if your video drivers are not up-to-date. The trial version gives you one hour to decide if you like the game, but we could tell within minutes that Alpha Ball would satisfy Arkanoid fans looking for something new.
