Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffAugust 30, 2015If you think you've licked the classic Windows time-waster Minesweeper, try this free variant based on Nonogram logic puzzles. In Nonosweeper, each column and row of the grid is marked with numeric clues (the nonograms) as to which squares are safe, and which deadly. By correlating the clues in two dimensions, you can pick your way around the hidden mines. The effort is mind-bending, at least at first. After solving a puzzle, you can upload your score to the developer's Web site. The program offers three levels of difficulty, with grids ranging from 6x6 to 15x15 rows. The game's austere design won't win over puzzlephobes, but temps, goof-offs, and Minesweeper addicts everywhere have found a new friend.
