Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffApril 30, 2013We love tabbed browsing, but we often find ourselves with tons of tabs open. Sometimes they're simply things we forgot to close when we were done with them, but other times they contain pages that we want to return to. TooManyTabs for Chrome is a clever browser extension that helps you hang on to the tabs you're not done with without all the clutter.TooManyTabs isn't the most intuitive application we've ever used, but after a bit of experimentation, it was pretty easy to figure out. It appears as an icon to the right of Chrome's address bar. Clicking on the icon brings up a menu that displays a preview of each tab currently open in the browser. Next to each page is a yellow arrow; clicking on this moves the page over to a list of "suspended tabs." These tabs disappear from Chrome but are saved in TooManyTabs until you need them again. Simply click on the desired page and it's restored to Chrome. In addition to the default "suspended tabs" column, users can create multiple, namable columns, making it easy to organize stored tabs into different categories. We think that TooManyTabs is a great way to keep tabs under control and to hang on to Web pages that you want to refer to later but don't necessarily want to bookmark. At the time of this writing the extension is in beta, but we have no complaints.TooManyTabs for Chrome is free. It installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users.
