Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffMarch 14, 2008Make sure to read the publisher's note about Joongel so you won't be expecting a single plug-in when you click the download link.It doesn't download a plug-in. Instead, it takes you to a Web page with a list of links to download a variety of plug-ins: for image searches, shopping searches, reference, health, video, social media, torrents, and more. You can download those you want with a click of the specific link.Searching with one of the plug-ins provides results from a number of sites, which are selected from a drop-down bar that appears in the browser window when Joongel executes the search. For instance, using the Joongel Health search, the drop-down bar includes linked logos from WebMD, everydayHealth, Mayo Clinic, MedicineNet, KidsHealth, and other sites, while the open page lists results from the first site listed in the drop-down bar. The results changed as we clicked on the linked logos. The free plug-ins performed well in our tests, responding quickly, and providing well-targeted results. Any user interested in a fresh search engine approach should check out Joongel.
