This tool offers a solution.The SBWcc WebCam Corder searches and downloads sites. It can be configured to automatically check back and download an updated Webcam site. The nag screen to register the application at launch is a drag, but the 10-second delay isn't too obnoxious. The application interface is a small (about 4 inches by 4 inches) window with a few fields for entering a URL and displaying download results. The appearance is purely functional, not elegant, and the color scheme is a bit garish, but the layout is simple to understand and use. The tabbed configuring panes also are simple to set up and use, so even novices should have no trouble putting this application to use.In our tests, the WebCam Corder responded quickly and thoroughly, downloading an entire graphics-laden site in a few minutes. The same was true for our test at a Webcam site, which updated every 60 seconds. The application's built-in image viewer ran through the captured images in slide show fashion without a glitches.This application works nicely for checking out site updates offline. The nag screen isn't a major obstacle to appreciating this Web tool, but the price on this piece of shareware may seem steep to some users.
