Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffJuly 15, 2013Bookmarking has come a long way since the early days of Web browsers, when saving a URL in a folder for future reference was about as exciting as it got. Now you can save not only URLs, but annotations and other information, and you can save them in the cloud for easy access wherever you go. Diigo Bookmark, Archive, Highlight and Sticky-Note is an extension for Google Chrome that makes it easy to save Web addresses, highlights, notes, and much more.Like most Chrome extensions, Diigo installs with little fuss, appearing as an icon to the right of Chrome's address bar. To use Diigo you have to either create a Diigo account or sign in with your Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, or OpenID account. We opted to create a Diigo account, which required us to enter our e-mail address and create a username and password. Using Diigo was simple; we clicked on the icon whenever we needed it, and a small toolbar appeared that let us highlight text, bookmark the page, add a sticky note, or share the page via e-mail or a variety of social-media options.Of course, the best thing about Diigo is that you can access your Diigo library from anywhere; all you have to do is sign in to your account. Diigo can even be accessed from an iPhone, iPad, or Android device. Overall, we liked Diigo quite a bit; it's easy to get the hang of, flexible, and extremely useful. If you need a quick and easy way to not only bookmark Web pages but also highlight and annotate them, we think Diigo Bookmark, Archive, Highlight and Sticky-Note is a great choice.
