The official DotA Web site, playdota.com, lists all of the heroes used in the game and gives a detailed profile for each one. Included in these profiles are lists of sounds, the spoken phrases that heroes use in the game. Players who'd like to save these sounds for their own use should try PlayDota Hero Sounds. This Chrome extension makes it easy to save DotA sounds as MP3 files.Like most Chrome extensions, PlayDota Hero Sounds is easy to install. You'll never even know it's there until you visit a hero's profile and click on the Sounds tab. PlayDota Hero Sounds places a small arrow next to each sound in the list; clicking on the arrow takes you to an MP3 of the file that can easily be saved. That's pretty much the extent of what PlayDota Hero Sounds does. It's a simple extension with a highly specific function, but if you want to save hero sounds for your own use, it works. Now your e-mail alert, cell phone ringtone, and calendar alarm can all reflect your love of Defense of the Ancients.PlayDota Hero Sounds installs and uninstalls without issues.
