Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffJanuary 30, 2008This free Firefox extension is supposed to act as a search aid, supplementing any searches that you perform in either Yahoo or Google. Unfortunately, this entry isn't compatible with newer versions of Firefox. For those testers who were able to install the plug-in, the results weren't great. We first tested the program by performing a Google search. According to the directions under the add-ons menu, hovering your mouse over a search query should reveal additional information to help narrow down your search, but nothing happened in our tests. We tried the same test using Yahoo's search function, but again, nothing happened. The options available with this extension are to disable it, to append the original query to the suggested query (probably would make more sense if we had gotten it to work), and finally, a place for specifying the number of results you want to show.Search Radar for Firefox needs to stay under the radar because it's a dud. We recommend you skip this one.
