Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffApril 12, 2008This program is a handy Web grabber but could be better with a few more features. WebZIP downloads and stores any type of file, whether whole pages or plug-ins, from the Web to your hard drive. In our tests, WebZIP performed well, but we would have liked a bit more control over what we were downloading. For example, if we didn't want a whole Web page (JPEGs and all), we weren't able to specify individual page files--which meant we ended up saving a lot of junk along with the files we wanted. The start page could stand a few drop-down menus to help clear the button clutter, too. Useful download reports help you sort through files before you hit Go. Overall, WebZIP works, but we'd love a few more features to fine-tune downloads.
