All of the usual features are present in OffByOne: standard navigational buttons, bookmarking, and even tabbed browsing. A couple of atypical buttons on the program's toolbar let you glance at your browser history and cookies without digging for them, but the app doesn't clear them for you. With OffByOne, you'll feel as if you're using the first browser known to man. Its toolbar has a long list of small, primitive images, and you can't hide any of them. Rather than an address field, you'll actually have to hit a URL button then type in a Web address to launch pages that aren't bookmarked. A search field is missing as well; nevertheless, another button on the bar links you to the publisher's site for queries, with results powered by Google.This free app lacks the conveniences of the big-name browsers and is sore on the eyes, so we don't consider it a keeper.
