In short, ZincSync simply synchronizes files between your computer and a USB drive, but we're glad to say this process requires minimal user interaction. After you run the application once, all you have to do is plug in your USB drive to have files automatically synchronized. However, it's annoying that you must keep the folder structure on your USB drive the same as it is on your PC's hard drive. We also wish you could use the app on more than one computer. ZincSync keeps a separate backup profile for each removable disk and also lets you manage and archive several versions of the same file. Still, we should note the program hogs a good deal of system memory when running in the background. If you use a USB drive to transfer files between home and work, this program makes a decent alternative to a full-blown backup utility.
